Camp Hi Rental Agreement and Waiver
I will return all gear in acceptable condition by 6:00 PM or forfeit my security deposit. I will pay for loss of, or damage to equipment.
I am familiar with the safety rules
of Camp Hi Canoe Livery, Inc. These include:
Wear a life jacket (PFD) at all times, Keep footwear on at all times, Stay
sober (No Alcohol or other drugs), Firearms and fireworks are prohibited.
I understand that non-swimmers and children must wear life jackets at all times.
I knowingly and voluntarily assume the risks inherent in Canoeing. These include, but are not limited to, deep water, unforeseen obstacles, hypotheria, insect bites, slippery surfaces, and drowning.
I hereby release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Camp Hi Canoe Livery, Inc., its employees and any other entity to or for which Camp Hi Canoe Livery Inc. is liable or otherwise in contract, from any and all liability that may arise as a result of this recreational activity. These activities include, but are not limited to, transportation to and from points of access and use of grounds, parking areas, and/or other facilities or recreational equipment supplied by Camp Hi Canoe Livery, Inc. This agreement does not apply to acts of intentional misconduct on the part of Camp Hi Canoe Livery, Inc., and its employees.I have read, understand, and agree to the City of Akron Hold Harmless Agreement:
City of Akron Hold Harmless Agreement
In consideration for the permission and privilege to use the Watershed Property owned by the City of Akron, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Akron, from any suits, costs, damages, or loss while engaged in the act of fishing, boating, or any other related activity on the City of Akron property in Geauga and Portage Counties. I also waive any claims for injuries or claims of any nature whatsoever including drowning to, or by me, or anyone brought by me upon the City of Akron property for any purpose and also hereby release the City of Akron from liability from all such claims even if such claims arise from the negligent acts of the City of Akron. I agree that at all times there must be one Personal Flotation Device in each boat per each person, and I accept responsibility for there being such devices in the boat for each person. I agree that children under 10 years of age must wear a life jacket at all times, and I accept responsibility for each such child wearing a life jacket at all times.
I (we) agree to abide by all State of Ohio and City of Akron laws, rules, and regulations. I (we) have received a copy of City rules, and I (we) agree to read, study, and abide by all of said rules, regulations, laws, and ordinances.
I (we) represent that we are age 18 or older and legally able to sign this statement.
